About Kashi Tempo
We rent vehicles in Varanasi — tempo travellers, buses, cabs and Urbania vans — and we publish what each one costs.
Why the rates are on the page
Ask five Varanasi operators what a 17-seater costs and you will get five answers, none of them before you hand over a phone number. The number moves depending on your accent, your hotel and how urgent you sound. We found that exhausting to operate and decided to stop.
Everything on this site is the same figure we quote on a call: ₹23/km for a 17-seater, ₹11/km for a Swift Dzire, ₹51/km for a 45-seater bus. If a price on the phone ever differs from a price on this page, the page is right and we have made a mistake.
What a rental includes
The vehicle, fuel and a driver who knows Varanasi. Not included, and never quietly folded in: GST, toll, parking, state permit for trips crossing into Bihar or Nepal, and the driver allowance — which is listed against every vehicle so you can add it yourself before you call.
The honest limits
No vehicle of any size reaches Kashi Vishwanath temple; everyone stops at Godowlia and walks. A 17-seater cannot enter the old city lanes. A 49-seater needs a planned parking point and thirty extra minutes through city traffic. We would rather say this here than at the kerb.
